Map of Lincolnshire and Lincoln
Lincolnshire and Lincoln.
The capital of Lincolnshire, Lincoln is a fine Roman city worthy of a visit
during any trip to England. Its cathedral is outstanding and can be seen for
miles around as it sits on a steep mound surrounded by lush open countryside.
The shopping in Lincoln is impressive but watch out! Steep Hill is called steep
for nothing!. Lincoln has a number of galleries and museums and
has a vibrant night life so if you are looking for a city break with plenty of
culture and history then this is the city for you. Lincoln is
served by excellent rail network to London and roads are A46 (south west) A15
(North and South) A158/A157 (East to the Wolds). The Viking way and Hull to
Harwich cycle route both pass through Lincoln.
