Here at Perkins’ Pantry,
we offer you an incredible selection of food, almost all of which is
prepared and cooked on the premises.
From our colossal, exciting range of over 130 sweet
& savoury scones, to our gorgeous chocolate gateau;
from our incredible range of soups, served with
home-made bread rolls, to our home-roasted meats;
from our deep-filled, short-crust savoury pies, to our
large & filling casseroles
(be hungry for these!); from our freshly made savoury sandwiches, to our gigantic full salads;
from our two-egg omelettes, made using free-range eggs,
to our tasty jacket potatoes;
from our bargain, all-day, ”set” breakfast, to your
own choice of breakfast items;
from our delicious traditional puddings, to Al’s
incredibly presented, delightful desserts, (which customers frequently
declare are “to die for” ),
your problem will be deciding which items from our
extensive menu you would like to eat when you dine at
Perkins’ Pantry !

Louth Vegetarian Society meets here at Perkins’
Pantry at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month.
The restaurant is named after Sue’s cat, Perkins, who
sadly died as she was negotiating to buy No 7 Mercer Row! What better
memorial could he have than that?!
Over the years at Perkins’
Pantry, many customers have found that they receive
more than just food and drinks; Sue very often regales them with jokes,
which she terms “groan-jokes”, mainly because they DO
tend to make you groan; however, her excuse for this is simple; They DO
raise a smile, and some laughs, and laughter releases endorphins, which
have a “feel-good” factor, so customers not only leave the restaurant
with nicely-filled tummies, and memories of some wonderful food, but also
with a smile on their faces!

OUR POLICY STATEMENT:
As members of the prestigious “Tastes of Lincolnshire”
organisation, it is our policy to provide our
customers with wholesome, fresh. local, English & other British food,
made in the traditional way. Any items which we cannot produce in our
kitchens, (and there are very few of these) are carefully selected to
ensure that they comply with our very high standards.
Wherever possible, we use locally sourced
produce. We do not knowingly use any genetically modified products.
Our home-made breads, including Gluten-free, are made using Olive
Oil.
We use real potatoes for chips.
We use only free-range Lincolnshire Eggs. Our
fresh fruit & vegetables are delivered daily by Rob Shaw of Alvingham,
near Louth. We use Grimsby Cod &
Haddock. Our Ice-cream, which is Gluten-free,
is hand-made by Dennetts of Spilsby. We use
Fenwicks of Louths’ Lincolnshire sausages. Other
fresh meats are delivered as needed by Robinsons Butchers of Vickers Lane,
Louth, and are then further carefully trimmed by our
chefs to remove as much fat as possible. We
use Vivaldi new potatoes, which are lower in carbohydrates & calories,
high in taste, and naturally healthy.
We believe the old-fashioned service we provide is much
nicer than the modern, self-service, cafeteria-type. We ask for your
patience, especially at busy times, because we prepare as much of your
food as possible freshly for you, so it may take a while to arrive. We
trust you will agree that your patience has been rewarded when you taste
your food, and we sincerely hope that you will enjoy all aspects of your
dining experience at
Perkins’ Pantry.
